DREAMING

IN MY IDEAL WRITER'S WORLD:-

Short story markets have sprung up overnight.
The demand for stories exceeds the supply.
I have received not one, but two contracts to write weekly stories - from popular national and international magazines.
My publisher informs me my novel, Dream Keeper, is in the best seller's list and requests a sequel. No, make that a series.
I'm struggling juggling my time between writing, interview requests and replying to fan mail.
Everything I write turns to gold - literally.
What is writer's block? Inspiration and ideas reign supreme.
I have no memory of rejection.
I have sponsors which include computer, clothing, motor vehicle and holiday resort companies.
My Cadbury chocolate has magically transformed into a never ending block. Yummy.

PLEASE DON'T WAKE ME UP!

  2. Hello Jenna, it does get that way doesn't it? Hoping and dreaming things pick up on the writing front. But meanwhile we keep on writing. Thank you very much for leaving a comment!

  5. I was going to "If only!" but I see Patsy's already said it :-(

Dreaming is what keeps us going and gives us something to aim for, isn't it.

  6. Hello Rosemary and Gail. Thank you both for leaving a comment. After reading about losing a couple of more short story markets and not having any of my short stories accepted in a couple of months, I was feeling a little down and needed some cheering up. So, instead of focusing on what wasn't going right, I focused on how I would like it to be lol. You are both absolutely right when you wrote - the power of positive thinking, and dreaming is what keeps us going and gives us something to aim for. On the up side I am looking forward to seeing two of my short stories in this upcoming Winter Issue (June) of That's Life Fast Fiction. We just have to do what we love and are passionate about - keep on writing! x
